This is the
oldest Irish Wolfhound Club in the World. It was established and founded in
1885 by Captain Graham who was the saviour of the Breed.
The Club is
established to encourage the maintenance of a high standard of Irish
Wolfhound. To breed for quality not quantity. Breeders are the custodians of
the breed and should send forward to the future a good standard of
Irish Wolfhound for future generations to build on, and endeavour to make
known throughout the world, the fine qualities of this dog.
If you are
considering purchasing an Irish Wolfhound puppy please contact the Club
Secretary who will have a list of reputable Club Members who have puppies
available for sale. Club members should follow the Club's Code of
Conduct, providing diets sheets, rearing hints, health checks such as Heart
Testing of parents, Livershunt test, Kennel Club Registration, etc., and they
will be there for you for help and advice, should you require it, for the life
of your new wolfhound.
